Special Events
Upcoming Events in the Murphys/Calaveras Region:
There is something happening almost every weekend during the ski season in Murphys ("The Queen of the Sierras"). For an up-to-date listing of area events, please visit http://www.gocalaveras.com/.Special Tastings and Dinners
Every weekend evening, the Solomon Murphys Tasting room is transformed into a wine bar, as John and Sherry host "happy hour" between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., featuring the full range of Cloud 9, Garsa, and Muse wines by the glass, along with a potpouri of appetizers and small plates provided by Deli Nini, our next-door neighbors. It's the perfect way to pass the time before a special dinner reservation or before an Ironstone concert. Actually, it's just a great way to wind down on a beautiful Murphys summer evening.
The Murphys tasting room is becoming increasingly popular as a site to hold private tastings, parties, and dinners. Working in conjunction with Alchemy restaurant or Deli Nini catering, John and Sherry can put together a special menu of appetizers or a full five-course dinner for your special celebration, bridal/bay shower, or pre-show/concert dinner. We've served groups as small as six and as large as 35. The Murphys Tasting Room makes the perfect backdrop to make any event truly one to remember. Contact John or Sherry for sample menus and price lists.
