So you are clearly displaying "the wisdom of Solomon" by visiting our home of the wines of Cloud 9, the elegant cornerstone of Solomon; Garsa, our Mediterranean-centric homage to the Sierra Foothills; and the bright, playful (and mostly irreverant - but certainly not irrelevant) Musewines.
In the continuing growth of wine sales on the Internet, Solomon has partnered with a selection of online retailers. One, www.AmericanWinery.com has recently posted two videos we shot at our tasting rooms and in our Modesto office. One video recounts the story of Solomon wines; the other shows the "people behind the wines" - notably winemaker Nancy Steel (who periodically goes headless in the video, but blame that on Solomon's own Rich Boone, who has no idea what to do with a video camera). For your convenience, the videos may also be seen below:
You can order any of our wines (and other Solomon merchandise) from this site (as long as you live in a state into which we can legally ship).
Better yet, we'd like to invite you to experience Solomon's hospitality personally at one (or both!) of our two tasting rooms: our original tasting room in the quaint, historic Gold Rush town of Murphys, CA and our new tasting room at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg, CA - just 17 minutes southwest of Sacramento (and yes, it really was an actual, operating sugar mill). Both tasting rooms offer the full portfolio of Solomon wines, other wine-related products, and our ever-popular, one-of-a-kind Apollo Olive Oil. The staff at both locations would love to help you pair wines with your holiday menu - or just confirm the selections you've already made (even if they are someone else's wine!)
Great season; great wine; great locations. Come join us!
The website Snooth.com is one of the largest integrated wine sites in the world. One of their current initiatives isa global tasting of established and emerging varietals. Their most recent tasting was Tempranillo, with selections from several producing countries. Garsa Tempranillo was rated one of the top three - along with a Spanish Tempranillo and an Amador Tempranillo (adding support to our claim that the best Tempranillos are Sierra Foothills grown). Check it out at www.snooth.com and search "global tasting initiative."
